Entertaining at Nursing Homes & Retirement Villages

The great thing about balloon entertainment for Aged Care & Senior Citizens is that when I’ve gone home they still have a very colourful balloon that  brightens up their room for weeks.

Need entertainment that interacts with the residents? Me!!!! I’m perfect.

Sensitive, fun and colourful entertainment. I bring liveliness, conversation, attention to detail and creativity to your residents and their guests for a couple of hours.

Entertainment can include a mini balloon workshop (on request)  geared to their level of function. Keeping it simple is key even for the higher functioning residents and I  always factor in being prepared to be completely hands on.

Interact with the residents

A while ago I did a balloon for a blind man. When I asked him would he like a balloon he just replied “No Thanks, I won’t be able to see it”. I asked him what his hobbies are/were? He said that he loved playing chess when he was younger. I began making him a white King Chess piece – as I began to construct it I asked him to hold the parts and described to him the process. This is how I try to give residents a moment of vitality and my time.

I really care about our senior citizens and I find I have a special knack for being in the zone with the many residents I interact with.

Aged care gigs is one of those rare times where I always run over time,  spending that extra detail with residents is rewarding.
